Maternity & Parenting Institute Launches FamilyPrep: Holistic and Progressive Education

In June 2014, the International Maternity & Parenting Institute (IMPI) announced the launch of their Parenting Education program led by Teresa Stewart. Since then Teresa Stewart and Mar Oscategui, founder of IMPI, have created and developed a holistic, progressive and comprehensive course for expecting and new parents called “FamilyPrep”. The transition to parenting is one of the most significant experiences of one’s life. Parenting today can feel isolated, disconnected, and unsupported. It can also be very confusing as parents quite often experience conflicting advice and judgment about the right way to parent and raise children. Many programs exist focusing on aspects of parenting without providing comprehensive support for the full journey. Additionally, these programs are usually designed for parents after the birth of one’s baby. This milestone deserves education, support, and recognition. In our experience, many parents are not receiving the services necessary to help them prepare for life with a baby in a comprehensive way. There is important focus on childbirth education and birth preparation, and although IMPI agrees this type of education is essential so parents can make informed decisions during pregnancy and birth, IMPI believes childbirth education is only the beginning of the conversation. Just as vital, is family preparation education.

We all need a community where we know we are not alone, where we are supported unconditionally and unbiasedly, where connection exists, and where we are fully informed both before and after the baby is born. The parenting education program at the IMPI, “FamilyPrep” offers these valuable opportunities for families internationally.

FamilyPrep is a unique curriculum that prepares and support parents with skills and knowledge in order to build confidence, connections and a strong family bond. With this program, parents will have the opportunity to learn, both before and after the birth of their baby, about the reality of parenting. Information is presented in an unbiased, comprehensive format. There are no instructions for parenting, nor should there be. Each family is unique, each family has strengths, and each family deserves to make informed decisions about how to raise their children. The goal of FamilyPrep is to bring together topics that are usually presented in fragmented silos and offer a wide-range of solutions and approaches so each family can decide what is best for them. Feeding and sleep. Safety and sleep. Safety and development. The bond between parent and baby, and the bond between parents. Emotional wellness of the entire family. These are a few examples of topics that FamilyPrep will help families navigate and understand how they are inter-related. IMPI FamilyPrep is inclusive and supportive of all family dynamics and recognizes there is more than one way to create a family and raise a family.

Because parenting can be so overwhelming, IMPI FamilyPrep will not shy away from discussing the challenges; but will also help parents reflect, be mindful, and appreciate the parenting journey they are experiencing. FamilyPrep will prepare parents with skills and knowledge; and equally important, will foster confidence and connections. We all need a community and as a result IMPI is honored to help parents learn, grow, and thrive with FamilyPrep.

To launch the FamilyPrep program, Teresa Stewart and Mar Oscategui will begin by offering a free live 90 minute workshop on the east and west coasts in the beginning of 2015 to introduce the Family Prep program to their communities, followed by a series of follow up workshops and eventually a tour of select cities. Dates and times will be announced soon.

Several medicaments are antifungal medicines. No doubts, the list is quite large. What is the most important info you should read about Viagra sample? It may have divers brands, but only one ATC Code. Usually, both men and women are affected by sexual dysfunctions. Sexual problems as a rule signal deeper diseases: genital infection or erectile dysfunction may hide a heavy health problem such as heart trouble.
