FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 27, 2014
SAN FRANCISCO – The International Maternity and Parenting Institute™ (IMPI) expands to the International Maternity and Parenting Institute™ (IMPI) and is proud to announce their new Parenting Education Program. The IMPI’s Parenting Education program will officially launch January 2015 and will be led by their Director of Parenting Education, Teresa Stewart, a former instructor and program manager for Isis Parenting. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Teresa on board for the opportunity to serve parents. Being a co-parenting mother of a six year old girl and almost two year old boy, I have found the need for parenting education , support and community to be extremely essential”, says IMPI founder Mary Luz (Mar) Oscategui. The IMPI Parenting Education Program has been created to assist and empower expecting and new parents with holistic education provided by seasoned experts along with an online parenting community for additional family support and engagement. The IMPI will focus on supporting parents in a variety of areas such as relationship, safety, child development, nutrition, health, sleep, play, co-parenting, discipline, green living, grief/loss and much more. In addition the IMPI will offer parents the opportunity for online live coaching.

In addition, Teresa is a member of SafeKids Boston and MassPinn (Massachusetts Prevents Injuries Now Network), where she collaborates on many safety topics, but primarily focuses on two: child passenger safety and infant sleep safety. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Teresa offers phone-based sleep consultations, in-home CPR classes for families, and sleep workshops for childcare centers and healthcare providers through her company, Teresa Stewart: Family Solutions (www.stewartfamilysolutions.com). She is scheduled to deliver poster presentations at two conferences this year, The National Breastfeeding Coalition Conference and Zero to Three’s National Training Institute. She is delighted to join the International Maternity and Parenting Institute™ (IMPI) in the role of Director of Parenting Education to bring high-quality, holistic and non-judgmental online education and support to families.
Teresa is the mother to two young children. They keep her humble, remind her on a daily basis that parenting is simultaneously wonderful and challenging, and fuel her passion for the work she does supporting and educating families.
